Sad, sad News: Carnegie Mellon professor Randy Pausch died Friday after a tough battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 47. Pausch made a huge impact on the world with his "Last Lecture" urging people to achieve their childhood dreams which was a YouTube sensation and a New York Times-best seller.
I have to say I was deeply saddened by his death. Even though he was given a terminal diagnosis, he never looked terminal. Pausch was very forthright about his illness and how close to death he was but I guess I just thought he would beat it somehow.
I encourage everyone to pick up Randy's book and take his lessons about living life to the fullest to heart. I have been trying to follow his example and I am so glad I "heard" him. He will be missed but certainly not forgotten.
